TEMI X SAFEMILK FREEDOM CANDLE

$57.00
sold out

Limited Edition · One of a Kind

A candle. A ceramic. A collaboration. All three, once.

The Freedom Candle is unlike anything else in the Essentials by Temi line — a collaboration between Temi and ceramic artist Meredith Jay of Safemilk Studio, whose handcrafted vessels are made to be kept long after the last burn.

Each vessel is handcrafted individually — no two are identical. Hand-poured with a premium Coco Apricot Crème wax blend and scented with Bergamot, Frankincense, and Litsea Cubeba — the same scent family as the Freedom Roller, extended into your space.

Bergamot opens with a clean citrus clarity. Frankincense grounds everything in something quieter and deeper. Litsea Cubeba brings a sharp, lemony lift that keeps the blend from becoming heavy. Together they create a space that feels clear — and a little more like freedom.

This is a limited edition piece. The vessel is handmade, the collaboration is singular, and this configuration will not be repeated.

  • Before every burn, trim the wick to ¼ inch. This keeps the flame clean and the burn even.

On your first burn, allow the wax to melt all the way to the edges before extinguishing — this prevents tunnelling and makes every burn after it better.

Burn on a stable, heat-resistant surface, away from drafts, curtains, and anything that can catch. Never leave a lit candle unattended. Keep away from children and pets.

Do not burn for more than 3 hours at a time. The vessel will be warm — allow it to cool fully before touching or moving.

Keep the wax pool free of debris and the wick centred throughout.

Stop burning when ¼ inch of wax remains.

  • I have always believed that the things we bring into our homes should be made with the same care as the things we put on our skin. I’ve always been a fan of Meredith's work, I knew immediately we needed to collaborated. Her ceramics are not decorative objects — they are considered, tactile, and built to last. That is the same standard Essentials by Temi holds for every formula. The Freedom Candle is the first collaboration. It will not be the last. But this vessel — this one — will not come back.

Here’s a tip on caring for your ceramic

Ceramics can dry out over time, especially in changing temperatures. Once or twice a month, rub a small amount of your Essentials by Temi Buttercream — or any oil of your choice — into the outside of the vessel to keep it conditioned and prevent cracking. The same care you give your skin, given to your ceramic.

    — Temi

  • 5% of every purchase

Every candle sold contributes 5% of proceeds to the Panzi Foundation — providing care, dignity, and healing to survivors of sexual violence in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

This is not a footnote. It is the reason we make things with intention.

  • Keep your vessel

Once the candle is finished, the vessel remains — food grade, reusable, and entirely yours. Clean it out and let it become whatever your space needs next.

To clean: pour hot water into the vessel and let it sit for 5 minutes. Pour out the water, ease the wick base free with a spoon, then wash with soap and water. Ready for whatever comes next.
